YES! I have decided to leave the country and go on holiday for a year, it's been a long time coming so most who know me probably won't believe it until I'm on the actual plane. This by the way WILL be taking place on February 14th at around 12:30pm (really ought to verify this).
Over the course of these next 12 months I am going to get the chance to visit many of the countries in South East Asia, I will also be flying to Hong Kong and India for a very special friends wedding. I will probably end the travel-fest in Australia if all goes to plan and I don't get sold for camels.
My first stop is Singapore, so the other day I got my geek on and had a good read up about it. It's a pretty popular tourist destination and I reckon a good place to ease myself into this whole travelling malarkey. I can safely say that providing I don't bring any chewing gum into the country, download any porn, go to the toilet in any lifts or bungee jump I should enjoy this portion of the trip with no risk of being jailed or fined. woohoo!
You should all know that for someone who hasn't left the safety blanket of England for longer than 6 weeks at any one time I am pretty much more scared than ever before! It's okay though because I know that this is all just fear of the unknown and these panicky feelings will subside.....with any luck whilst I'm sat on a beach in Bali!
